Story

After receiving your DB License, Snakeman doesn't have any more work for you and suggests you go to Shinjuku Babel to talk to Yamamoto the Steel-Willed. He's in charge of supervising and organizing all Demon Busters in Tokyo. Upon arriving, Yamamoto asks you to act as a messenger for the church messengers that have arrived from both Arcadia and Souhonzan for missionary work. Before they can start, they need access codes to be approved for work. Because a DB is a neutral force unaligned with either the Order of Messiah or the Ring of Gaia, that makes you the perfect candidate for issuing out the codes.

After delivering the codes, you return to Yamamoto, who informs you about two similar Obelisks in Shibuya and Ichigaya to the one in Nakano. Shinjuku Babel has dispatched Innocents to these locations to record DATA on either Obelisk, so you are to go to both locations and retrieve this DATA for Yamamoto. When you arrive at Shibuya's Obelisk, the Innocent there appears to be taken by a mysterious force, compelling it to ask you about "absolute order." It recovers, then hands you the DATA.

After delivering the data to Yamamoto, he sends you to fetch Ichigaya's DATA. After you leave, Yamamoto meets with Setsu, who discusses their work as being for the "Rebirth of Tokyo."

The second Innocent at Ichigaya experiences similar symptoms to the first from Shibuya, asking about a "great power" before recovering and handing you the DATA. When you return the second DATA, you are also introduced to Setsu, who is in charge of analyzing all the DATA collected on the Obelisks. He thanks you for protecting Azura, and Yamamoto hopes he can continue to count on your help. All for the Rebirth of Tokyo...

How to Initiate

Talk to Yamamoto the Steel-Willed after completing Act 7: DB License.

Walkthrough

  1. Talk with Yamamoto the Steel-Willed.
    1. Located in Shinjuku Babel [X20-21:Y16]. Talk to the Guard or click on the door to enter.
    2. You can use the Home Point option to teleport or manually go from Home III -> Suginami -> Nakano -> Shinjuku Babel -> Central Control Room. (Consult your map if you get lost)
  2. Talk with Messian. Located in Shinjuku Babel [X24:Y23].
    1. "Now, please tell me the Access Code!"
      1. "Tell her it's "LN5688"."
      2. "Tell her it's "LM5988"."
      3. "Tell her it's "LH5899"."
    2. After giving her the code, she will tell you about the Messian Church. Answering "Not interested" or giving the wrong answers to her questions will not grant you Law shift. See below for correct answers.
      Note: This is optional.
  3. Talk with Gaian Priest. Located in Shinjuku Babel [X24:Y21].
    1. "Now, what's the Access Code?"
      1. "Tell him it's "CG5991"."
      2. "Tell him it's "QG5667"."
      3. "Tell him it's "CC5997"."
    2. After giving him the code, he will tell you about the Gaian Church. Answering "Not interested" or giving the wrong answers to his questions will not grant you Chaos shift. See below for correct answers.
      Note: This is optional.
  4. Talk with Yamamoto the Steel-Willed.
  5. Talk with the Innocent. Located in Shibuya [X21:Y20].
    1. "Is absolute order what is needed in this chaos that is Tokyo?"
      1. "Yes" (必要) - Law shift.
      2. "No" - No shift.
    2. You obtain Obelisk Data 02.
  6. Report back to Yamamoto the Steel-Willed.
  7. Cut-scene.
    1. Do not leave the Central Control Room with a Traesto Stone. Otherwise you will not trigger the second cut-scene, that happens after you leave the Control Room.
  8. Talk with the Innocent. Located in Ichigaya [X21:Y19].
    1. "Do you wish to acquire a power so great that all would fall before it?"
      1. "Yes" (はい) - Chaos shift.
      2. "No" - No shift.
    2. You obtain Obelisk Data 03.
  9. Report to Yamamoto the Steel-Willed.

Notes

  • While you are in Shinjuku Babel, take this time to visit Protopia. Talk to the "Innocent" located in Shinjuku Babel [X21:Y18]. Answering either reply still grants access.
    • You can restock your items or repair your equipment. The repair cost and percentage is better than in Home III, Shinjuku Babel and Yagiya Shops.
  • For a moment, the Obelisk possesses the Innocent asking you a question.
  • To save time, set your Home Point in Shinjuku Babel and bring along 2 Traesto Stones when you have to collect the Obelisk Data.
